Our Founder Annie Wang
Award-winning Merchandising and Sales Executive who builds businesses with passion and empathy.
Annie has 20+ years of experience driving aggressive omni-channel growth for iconic, global brands and retail businesses within beauty, CPG, and fashion industries. She brings strong product knowledge and merges data analytics with creative innovation. Annie is respected as a leader for her strategy, execution, and warmth.
As Founder of Retail Growth Partners, Annie provides hands-on guidance to emerging and established brands as a fractional Chief Merchandising/Commercial Officer. She helps clients scale across major retail channels including Sephora, Ulta Beauty, Target, Macy's and Amazon. Her expertise spans omni-channel sales strategy, merchandising, brand launches, digital innovation, and P&L optimization. Annie has a proven track record of delivering triple-digit revenue growth. Most recently, she partnered with the clean hair care brand Briogeo to hire and onboard their new Head of Sales and lead their expansion into Mexico.
Previously, Annie built the disruptive hair color brand Madison Reed’s wholesale business from the ground up, increasing sales 3000% and catapulting them to the #1 Hair Color brand at the biggest US beauty retailer, Ulta Beauty. Annie launched the first hair color brand on GLAMlab’s Virtual Try-On tool with high engagement at over 4 million sessions annually.
She started her career in Buying and Planning at Macy’s across multiple product categories including Young Men’s, Men’s Activewear, Sleepwear, Juniors, and Designer Collections. She transitioned to beauty when she joined Shiseido to manage bareMinerals’ Sephora North America business.
Annie is passionate about giving back to her community. After college, she volunteered at Camp Laurel for children impacted by HIV/AIDS. She became a certified Domestic Violence Advocate for the state of California after volunteering at Asian Women’s Shelter. She was a founding member of both Madison Reed’s DEIB Committee and Women Across True Ventures. She is fluent in Mandarin and an experienced panel speaker who enjoys mentoring emerging brands and businesses.
